is all direction, we should train with the ladder in all directions.

No. They are design to encourage training with difference lead foot.

What level should I start with?
Beginners should walk through the patterns on the cards. Make sure you understand
the technique before you try to speed through the ladder. Technique should not be
sacrifice for speed.
